Must-see Points
Environment of the Touch Pool recreates same as Okinawan Seas- The water in the pool is brought in directly from the Okinawa Sea just outside the Aquarium, without any adjustments to its temperature. This means you can feel the temperature of the Okinawa Sea as it is at that moment in time. The temperature of the water changes constantly. Try to guess the temperature of the water!
Search for hard-to-spot creatures- There are also fish swimming inside the touch pool. Observe them from close range, but don't touch!
In the touch pool, there live male and female blue damselfishes. It is possible to distinguish between different types of them by sight, and you can ask the keeper what to look for.
In the touch pool, there are gobies that are very good at hiding. They are the same color as the sand, and hide in rocks during the day, so they are almost impossible to find. If you sneak up quietly during the morning or evening when few people are around, you might just catch a glimpse of one.
Ask the Aquarium Staff- Please ask the Aquarium staff any time you have a question about a marine creature. The Aquarium staff will be wearing blue t-shirts. They walk around the Aquarium all day long.
