Whale Shark Statue Recommended photo location
The Statue awaits you at the entrance of Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. Please feel free to take pictures in front of the sign that says “Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium” located in front and behind the statue itself.
Uminchu GateRecommended photo location
Once you pass the statue, you will see Uminchu Gate awaiting you. In the Okinawan language, Uminchu means “fisherman”. We hope you enjoy the bright and spacious vistas surrounding Okinawa's Emerald Bay and Ie Island. The entrance to the Aquarium is on the right hand side on the 3F after you exit the elevator from Uminchu Gate.
Replica of a Manta RayA hard-to-see character!
Near Uminchu Gate there is a replica of a manta ray. While this model is approximately 2.7 meters long, the biggest manta on record measured a full 5 meters!
