Free Audio Guide (PDA) Rental Service
The audio guide (PDA) is available to rent for free at the Aquarium entrance (Coral Lobby). With this, you can listen to commentary about each tank at the Aquarium. Advance reservations are required.

See and Touch
At Life in Inoh (Touch Pool) you can touch and see marine life, including sea cucumber and starfish.
- All marine creatures are safe, so you can enjoy the experience without any worries.
- Our staff is always available to help you with any questions nearby the pool.
- There are hand-wash station after touching the marine creatures.
Sharks are Huge!
You can see a sample of the great white shark's skin in the corridor in front of the Shark Research Lab (The Sea of Dangerous Sharks). Touch the shark skin and see for yourself just how big it is. This huge great white shark was 5 meters long - its sheer size is amazing!
Shark's Teeth are Incredibly Sharp!
Samples of shark skin and teeth approx. 20 different kinds of sharks are on exhibit at the Shark Research Lab (The Sea of Dangerous Sharks). Feel free to touch the teeth and discover for yourself the great variety.

Ancient Sharks were Truly Massive!
In the Shark Research Lab (The Sea of Dangerous Sharks) there's a real-size replica of ancient shark's jaw. Go ahead and touch it gently and see how big the jaw really is.

The Acrylic Windows are Extremely-Thick!
The acrylic tank at the Kuroshio Sea Tank, which is world class, was made by fusing together many layers of acrylic board. Go ahead, touch and feel for yourself the 60 cm thick water tank.
Find out How Cold the Deep Sea Really is!
Here you can enjoy looking at deep sea marine life living at a depth of 100-1000 meters below the surface of the ocean. At a depth of 300 meters the sea is murky and the temperature of the water drops because no light can reach this deep. Find out more about the temperature of the water (9ºC) 600 meters below the ocean's surface by actually touching it for yourself.

At the Aqua Lab our keeper explain with slides and samples in an easy-to-understand way about the life living in Okinawan Seas. After their explanation, you can ask the staff further questions.
Replica of Manta Ray and Whale Shark
Here you can see life-size replicas of manta ray and whale shark. Check out their size by touching them. The Replica of manta ray is located near Uminchu Gate on 4F, while life-sized replica of whale shark is located on the left-hand side near the 1F exit of the Aquarium Rotary.
