- Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium & Marinarea Plan
This course takes you on a full day tour of Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.
You can closely observe an array of colorful fish swimming in Okinawan seas, beginning with the mighty whale shark and manta rays. In the early evening, you can watch the dolphin performance, sea turtles and manatees in the area around the Aquarium.

Arrive at Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

As you descend a gentle slope from the parking lot to the Aquarium, you're greeted by a statue of a giant whale shark. You go along the path and to the entrance, you'll witness the vast world of the Okinawan Seas!
Journey to a Coral Reef
Life in Inoh (Touch Pool)

This exhibit recreates the marine world closest to Okinawa. Be gentle when touching the marine animals living in the shallow waters of the coral reef (“Inoh”).

The Coral Sea

The Coral Sea tank recreates the sun-filled Okinawa coral reef. Take a look at the large-scale exhibit brimming with live coral.

The tropical sea from the beautiful sandy beaches, past the coral reefs to the open sea, from brightly it shallow crags to the dim caves.

Far away from Okinawa's Churaumi coast, you can find the marine life of the open sea. This and the connection between Okinawan people and the sea are revealed in exciting Hi-vision video.

Café “Ocean Blue”

Lunch is served in the café with its dreamlike blue interior. As you watch the fish leisurely swimming around, you can enjoy a moment of relaxation.
* We appreciate your understanding during busy periods.
Besides Café Ocean Blue, there are also Restaurant Inoh, Okichan Snack, and Café Tida around the Aquarium.
* You can re-enter the Aquarium as many times as you would like on the same day.

At this point, we will double-back a little and listen to the explanation at the Kuroshio tank about feeding practices. The upright foraging of the powerful whale shark is a sight to see!

There is also the “Exploring the Kuroshio”, in which you can observe the Kuroshio Sea tank from above. Please try watching the whale sharks and manta rays below for free. (Approximately 15 minutes.)
