After touring Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, you can relive Okinawa's ancient past at Native Okinawan Village, and experience the life of people who lived close to the sea at the Oceanic Culture Museum. Further, you can enjoy a wide variety of flora.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium Entrance

As you descend a gentle slope from the parking lot to the Aquarium, you're greeted by a statue of a giant whale shark. As you go along the path and to the entrance, you'll see the vast world of the Okinawan Seas!
Journey to a Coral Reef
Life in "Inoh" (Touch Pool)

This exhibit recreates the marine world closest to Okinawa. Be sure to touch gently when touching the marine animals living in the shallow waters of the coral reef (“Inoh”).

The Coral Sea

The Coral Sea tank recreates the sun-filled Okinawa coral reef. Take a look at the large-scale exhibit brimming with live coral.

Coral Reef World

Coral Reef World presents dangerous creatures that make their home among the coral reefs. Feel free to interact with a model of this world located next to the Aquarium tanks, and learn more about the dangerous aspects of these diverse creatures.

Far away from Okinawa's Churaumi coast, you can find the marine life of the open sea. This and the connection between Okinawan people and the sea are revealed in a exciting Hi-Vision video.

Ocean Expo Park
Native Okinawan Village and Omoro Arboretum

The Native Okinawan Village recreates the villages of Okinawa during the Ryukyu Kingdom Period (17-19th centuries). There is also Omoro Arboretum with its collection of flora mentioned in the “Omorosoushi,” a collection of ancient Okinawan poems and songs.
Oceanic Culture Museum

There are over 1,000 items on exhibit that exhibit the relationships between mankind and the sea, including rare canoes. There's also a seasonal Tingara planetarium show.
Tropical Dream Center

The Tropical Dream Center features more than 2,000 orchids, with a large-scale Amazon display tank and an observation room. Visitors to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium can take in this attraction for half the regular price.
Shop “Yanbaru no mori”

Enjoy shopping at Shop "Yanbaru no mori”, where you can purchase original T-shirts, glass craftwork, farm-fresh food products and plants.
