- Q.I read that the Park has obtained ISO14001certification. What is ISO14001?
ISO14001 is the international standard of environmental management systems for environmental safety. Ocean Expo Commemorative Park Management Foundation obtained ISO14001 in 2004.
- Q.About employment and internships
In regard to the employment conditions of our Aquarium, we have two requirements; Japanese language ability ad Japanese education (at least graduation from high school).
Thank you for your understanding.(1) Careers at Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium;
(2) Practical training at the aquarium;
(3) Work experience at the aquarium;
(4) Other educational programs at the Aquarium.

We are trying to raise awareness for our environment by conserving energy and resources in all businesses of the management foundation, by recycling fallen leaves in the park and the remains of fish bait as compost, and setting air-conditioning at modest temperatures and not wasting paper.
- Q.What are you doing to work on environmental issues?
At Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Sea Turtle Pool, we are engaged in awareness-raising activities against littering, by introducing, for example, the issue of dolphins and turtles dying from mistakenly swallowing garbage found at sea. The Ocean Exhibition Commemorative Park Management Foundation is currently implementing awareness-raising enterprises far and wide through research study projects connected to the park.
